Please note the intended learning outcomes and methods of delivery are comparable across the Cornwall and Devon Medical Scholar strands. Five out the six sessions will be delivered at Medical School learning environments in your allocated locality. Five sessions will be at the St Luke's Campus in Exeter, Devon and one session will be at the Knowledge Spa in Truro, Cornwall.

Activity Locations
All subject activity sessions will take place on the University of Exeter St Luke's campus. Some sessions may involve visits to the Research, Innovation, Learning, and Development (RILD) building or the Clinical Skills space.
There will be six sessions taught by academic staff from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, in which you will have the opportunity to engage in taster sessions in Medicine. Example activities across the programme may include (in no particular order):
- A day in the life of a Medical student
- Tours of the St Luke's Campus and the Knowledge Spa
- Introduction to Life Science Resource Centre - Practicals and Workshops
- Entry to Medicine - Getting into medical school
- Interview Workshop (role reversal)
- Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Taster
- Professional Development Groups (PDG) Taster
- Clinical Skills Resource Centre (CSRC) - Tasters
- Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Practice and Feedback
Five sessions will take place at the St Luke’s Campus in Exeter, Devon and 1 session will take place at the Truro Campus (Knowledge Spa) in Truro, Cornwall - you will be informed in advance which campus your specific session will take place.
Priority will be given to students studying Biology AND Chemistry at A Level or Higher IB (or equivalent) and those who have a demonstrable interest in pursuing a medical career.
Note: You require a Grade 6 / B in English Language to get a place on Medicine at Exeter.
In order to pass the programme, you must attend a minimum of 5 out of 6 subject activity sessions, as well as the Exeter Scholars Student Conference.
