I oversee the prioritisation of project work that comes through the team to ensure we are delivering the most valuable work for the University. I work with team members and stakeholders to develop project plans and support the team to successfully deliver projects and ensure they are empowered to do excellent work.

I manage the University's growing app portfolio, establishing guidance and policy and overseeing new and existing developments in core apps such as iExeter.
Before joining the University in 2011, I worked in web management in local government and the leisure industry. Off campus I enjoy brewing and organising specialist beer tasting events.

My role is to manage and lead the development and delivery of social media presences to support the University in its strategic objectives. I am responsible for creating and managing content suitable for a range of media channels and for the development of strategies, policies and guidance to fully realise the potential for communication with students, staff, partners, stakeholders and the wider public.
I joined the Web Team in November 2014 after spending 10 years working in the Marketing Office where I was Undergraduate Marketing Manager. Prior to joining the University of Exeter I worked for the University of Derby and in publishing in Brighton.

Chinese Social Media Officer

I joined the University of Exeter in September 2014 as Chinese Social Media Officer for the University. With the assistance of my colleagues, I have set up some of the most popular Chinese social media channels for our University, including Sina Weibo, Wechat, Youku and Renren. I am responsible for managing and monitoring our Chinese social media, liaising with different Colleges and departments to obtain latest news and tailor it to suit various Chinese social media channels. Cooperating with my colleagues, we are building a Chinese website and will manage the website once it finishes.
Before I joined in the University as an employee, I studied MSc Marketing at the University of Exeter Business School. In 2013 I graduated from Xiamen University in China, as a double-degree bachelor (BA in English Language and Culture and BSc in Economics).
I am originally from Tianjin, the economic centre of Northern China. I have previously worked (both part-time and in the Marketing Department) for Centaline Strategic Management Limited and Xiamen Daily News.

I work in the central Web Team, for which I am the Team Leader. My chief focus is on web content, advising and assisting in the planning, development and maintenance of effective corporate web pages to meet users’ expectations and support the University’s business objectives. My role encompasses content strategy, user experience, information architecture (site/content structure, navigation and search performance), usability and accessibility, and advising on use of the content management system, T4.
I provide support, guidance and training on all matters concerning content management to colleagues in the Web Team and the wider community of content management system users across the organisation.

I'm responsible for the design and frontend development of the University's main website and related websites. I also immerse myself in current web technologies and trends in order to keep my skill set up to date. This helps futureproof our websites and give the best web experience to the various user demographics we cater for.
I joined the University in October 2011 from a leading web agency where I was Creative Director. Previous roles include studio manager and lead designer/developer.

I've been working for the University for over 20 years. When I started the latest web browser was Netscape 1.1!
I write database driven applications using PhP and MySQL, and have produced systems such as the Open Days, Campus Tours, Staff profiles, the Custom Form Builder and the Student Ambassadors Management system which has been sold to various other Universities including Kings College London and UCL.

My role involves assisting with the maintenance and development of Research Services and Impact Innovation and Business' client facing websites. This involves monitoring the websites to make sure they are up to date and writing and editing new content.
I also help to manage Research Services and Impact Innovation and Business' social media accounts and support colleagues in their use of social media.

I started working at the University in December 1990 when I joined as a Clerical Assistant in External Relations. My role later developed into typesetting various University publications including the setting and costing of job advertisements for our Personnel Office saving the University external typesetting charges.
In 1997 I started to learn the basics of HTML and then went on to update and manage our web publications such as the University Calendar and various prospectuses. In 2000 I was involved with rolling out a new web design across the University and since then have been involved in four web redesign projects across the University website.
In 2003 I became part of the Web Team with the appointment of Rob Mitchell, our line manager.
Part of my role now is ensuring the web content management system, Site Manager (T4), provides a reliable service to the University’s community of web publishers and that it works as effectively and efficiently as possible. I manage all aspects of the CMS functionality and liaise with the vendor TerminalFour to organise upgrades and troubleshoot technical issues within the system. I also help and advise colleagues within and outside the web team on certain functionality. As part of the central team I also update our main corporate pages and co-ordinate the on-line University Calendar.
I am also the gatekeeper for our team within SID and ensure Helpdesk support calls are passed on to colleagues within the team. I also look after Siteimprove where we aim to reduce broken links and misspellings across our web pages.

I started at the University in 2009 with a broader range of subjects to manage, after the creation of the 'Colleges' I became the sole web marketing officer for CEMPS. Previously I was the Studio Manager for a local web design agency, in addition to managing the workloads of the team in the office I was in a senior developer role, providing bespoke web applications and websites for a wide range of clients throughout the Devon.
I am an experienced web developer with 15+ years of experience in a wide range of frontend and backend programming languages / frameworks, databases systems and server management systems. I am proficient in a number of Google's service such as AdWords, Google Analytics, API Web Services and Enterprise Apps. I keep up-to-date with the rapidly developing world of Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing and can provide professional advice to clients and colleagues alike.
I have worked at the University since 1999 in various administrative roles including exams and registry, as a learning technologist supporting online learning, and as a web marketing officer. My current role is as a Web Officer in the Digital Team.
I enjoy helping people communicate their ideas, enabling readers to find something of value to them, and code/display problem-solving - particularly in PhP and MySQL.

I maintain and develop the websites that represent the College of Social Sciences and International Studies. I work closely with the central CaMS team and the College ERICA team to create a consistent approach across all communications.

I oversee all the websites that come under Campus Services, which covers a diverse range of units including Accommodation, Cafes, Car Parking, Estate Services, Grounds, Estate Patrol, Sustainability and Sport.
I work closely with all the teams in CaS, the CaS Communication Manager, and the Central Web Team.
I joined the University in 2008 after several years working in the web industry including roles at Royal Holloway and Dartmoor National Park Authority.
Outside of work I enjoy photography and run my own pyrography micro-business.

I am responsible for the website and related digital content for the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical sciences (CEMPS). I work closely with the college's marketing manager and external relations team. The role involves supporting a wide range of functions for the college including student recruitment, research, press and public relations, alumni relations and outreach activities.
I joined the University as a member of staff in 2014 after graduating here in English, and have previously worked in Digital Humanities, the Medical School and ESE. I have experience in copywriting and social media, and am particularly interested in user experience web design. Off campus I enjoy singing, theatre and Appalachian dance.

I joined the University in 2006 when the Web Team comprised only three people, making me the first Web Officer. My role created a new web management link between the central Professional Services and the Colleges. I recently completed the 2017 Aurora Women's Leadership Programme with the Leadership Foundation.
I come from a creative background, with a degree in Fashion Promotion and Illustration. Previous roles include graphic design, digital illustration and website management including multi-language sites for Schwarzkopf and a group of home and lifestyle companies, plus magazine artworking at BBC Worldwide along the way. I enjoy illustration in my spare time.
