Events

The Events team devises and manages a range of Events at the most senior level to support the University’s key objectives. Designed to make and maintain contact with key stakeholders regionally, nationally and internationally. Events are hosted by the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive or members of the senior team, and range from small private dinners to visits from high profile VIPs including Royalty and Ministerial guests. We also organise guest lectures given by distinguished speakers in their field and formal building openings.

The Events Office, under the management of the International Events Officer, also organises the international travel for senior management delegations led by the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive or the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor as part of the University's internationalisation strategy.

We act in an advisory capacity for PR and Event activity to Colleges and other Professional Services departments requiring advice and support for VIP visits/events.

The Events Office team is led by the Events Manager, Margaret House-Hayes.
