Open to all local Alumni, members,non-members and guests of alumni. Join the local Exeter alumni Branch of the Exeter University Club for an exciting talk on the power of advertising.The talk will be lead by Roger Brian, Chief Library Officer at the Devon and Exeter Institution
In this talk Roger, who is Chief Library Officer at the Devon and Exeter Institution, will describe the power and influence of advertisers, and how they have adapted to new technology. Through posters, newspapers, magazines, radio, film, television and the Internet, advertisers target every part of human activity. They influence everything from our choice of food and drink to what we wear. At their most pervasive, they seek to take over the way we think and how we view others.
