This event, held in partnership with HMRC and four leading accountancy firms, will help businesses navigate the hurdles associated with claiming R&D tax credits. It will also provide an overview of 'Patent Box', a preferential tax scheme for patent-derived profits being introduced later this year.
A combination of presentations, a Q&A panel and confidential one-to-one consultations with tax experts will help address the issues stopping businesses participating in the tax credit scheme.
The session on Patent Box will outline what the scheme is expected to cover and what businesses can do now to get ready for the launch.
University of Exeter will also be on hand to discuss some of the R&D services and tax friendly initiatives offered by UK higher education institutions.
Delegates will have access to post-event support in relation to the identification of viable tax credit activities, the preparation of tax-friendly pre-pack proposals for the HMRC office and further preparation for the Patent Box launch.
Places cost £25.00 per delegate and are restricted to directors, financial directors and accountants from SMEs undertaking, or considering commencing, R&D activity.
