Assertiveness (Bite Size) Module 2

Description

Who is it for?

This programme is for you if you want practical help in analysing what is happening when you cross paths (or swords) with a 'difficult person' and you want some strategies for standing up for your rights without violating the other persons.

What is it about?

Modules 1 and 2 will cover.

- Processes for dealing with difficult behaviour.

- Assertiveness - self-assessment.

- Rights and responsibilities towards others.

- Assertiveness techniques.

What will I get out of it?

The programme is designed to promote fact-based, adult-adult relationships and to minimise the use of emotional leverage.

Course overview By the end of the two modules you should be able to.

1) Distinguish between anger, aggression and conflict.

2) Spot aggressive, assertive and passive behaviours.

3) Explain the results of each - long and short term.

4) Use transactional analysis to analyse behaviours.

5) Display awareness of your own natural level of assertiveness.

6) Operate according to a pattern of rights and responsibilities towards others.

7) Use various logical assertiveness techniques.
