Presentation Skills (Bite Size) Module 2

Description

These two modules are designed for anyone who has to make presentation to others, from a team meeting to a conference, and who needs to know the key issues and wants to develop his or her skills and thereby increase in confidence.

Module 2 - Delivering a presentation.

Getting attention and keeping control of an audience.

Problem behaviours and what to do about them.

The physical environment, your appearance, the room, notes and projectors.

Language, voice control and projection.

The Big Secret! Second presentation.

Workshops will be highly participatory and will be based upon your experiences, personal and observed - tutor input, observation of others and practical experimentation.

Under tutor guidance you will make two short presentations, both of which will be recorded for you to take away and review later (videos will not be shown to the group).

You will be required to prepare a presentation in advance of both workshops - please see the pre-workshop reading for more detail.

Aims & Outcomes: This programme will.

- Show you how to design and deliver an effective presentation.

- Explain some of the issues in handling difficult audiences.

- Demonstrate how to adjust a presentation to different sizes of audience.

You should be able to.

Module 1 should be completed before attending Module 2.

Attendees should read pre-course materials before attending.
