Contracts, An Introduction
| Description | Course Description:
Who is it for? An introduction to contracts by Legal Services aimed at staff across Schools and professional services who have to deal with contracts as part of their role.
What is it about? The session will cover various types of contract that are commonly encountered within the University and will use practical examples.
What will I get out of it? The aim will be to give an overview of. i) different types of contract. ii) basic legal requirements for contracts. iii) key clauses in contracts. An understanding of how contracts are formed, different types of contract, the basic legal requirements for contracts and some common clauses in contracts.
Is there anything I need to do before attending? No prior knowledge of contract law is required. The course will be of most relevance to those with some experience of negotiating contracts.
