How the University Works - Decision-Making and Governance

What is it about?

This session will help you understand how the University makes its decisions and the structures in place to support this including University Management, governance, dual assurance and faculties.

The session will cover both the formal management structures and give an insight into the ways in which those structures work in practice, and how they are currently evolving in the light of changing internal and external requirements.

What will I get out of it?

You will have a better understanding of how the University is managed and the structures in place to support this, including: - task and finish groups.

- faculties.

- programme accreditation.

- council and senate.
