Giving Presentations (Foundation Level)

Description

Who is it for?

All staff who want to improve their presentation skills.

What is it about?

This workshop explores what makes great presentations and how presenters manage to deliver them.

What will I get out of it?

You will get a better understanding of what makes presentations work and pick up some tips on how to improve your own presentations.

You will examine how professionals deliver great presentations and consider how you can convert your own negatives into positives.

Course overview:

We open with a look at presentations: the good, the bad and the ugly.

We then do a short exercise to loosen up our minds and think creatively, before considering the impact you yourself have on the presentation.

We move on to explore the mechanics of presentations, drawing on real life and exploring what works best for us.

Towards the end of the session we cover the basics of using visual aids and then you get a chance to revisit an earlier exercise and think about what you in particular can do to improve.

Is there anything I need to do before attending?

Do I get a qualification?
