Course Description:

This course is for those who know how to enter and edit data in a spreadsheet and to use basic functions and formulae, and who would like to expand their knowledge of using formulae in Excel.

Course Content.

Use of popular functions from the following categories.

- Text functions: To combine text from different cells for display purposes.

- Mathematical functions: To round to integers or a specific number of decimal places.

- Sum only cells which match a given criteria.

- Logical functions: Perform a logical test based on one or more conditions.

- Lookup function: To look up a value in the first column of a table.

What will I get out of it?

1/ Revision of basic functions and Named Ranges.

2/ Text functions (CONCATENATE, LEFT, RIGHT, MID, PROPER, UPPER, LOWER).

3/ Mathematical functions (ROUND, INT, SUMIF).

4/ Logical functions (COUNTIF, IF).

5/ Combining and nesting functions (IF, AND, OR).

6/ Lookup functions (VLOOKUP).

7/ Formula Auditing.

Is there anything I need to do before attending?

You should have either attended the Excel 2007: Simple Worksheets (with Formulae and Basic Functions) and the 'Excel 2007: Multiple Sheets (with Functions) courses, or be familiar with the contents.
