Asperger's Workshop II: Understanding thoughts and behaviour

Description

Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who has contact with students or other visitors to the University, particularly those working on an ongoing basis with students.

What is it about?

This workshop follows on from Workshop I, and helps participants gain an understanding of the relationship between thoughts and behaviours and how this can explain some behaviours associated with Asperger's Syndrome.

Case studies should give participants some real-world examples.

What will I get out of it?

By the end of the workshop, participants will.

1/ Understand the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviour.

2/ Understand some of the differences in cognition associated with Asperger's Syndrome.

3/ Understand how these differences might result in particular behaviours.
