Access 2007: Designing and Creating Databases Level 1
| Description | Who is it for? Participants should be confident using an existing database. Opening and closing objects and viewing and entering data in tables.
What is it about? This course introduces you to the basic principles of database design. It is aimed at people who need to design their own simple relational databases from scratch (or edit an existing one) , and will cover the practical aspects of creating tables and relationships.
What will I get out of it? 1/ Overview of database design. 2/ Principles of good database design. 3/ Creating a table. 4/ Fields and data types. 5/ Field properties. 6/ Validation rules. 7/ Primary keys. 8/ Lookup fields. 9/ Types of relationships. 10/ Linking tables (creating relationships).
