Who is it for?

For anyone who are new to word processing and wishes to learn the basic features of Microsoft Word or for those who want to brush up their basic Word skills.

What is it about?

This trainer-led hands-on course covers the fundamentals of using Word 2007.

What will I get out of it?

This course will enable you to create, edit and format documents efficiently.

Use proofing tools such as spell checking and find and replace, as well as the saving files and printing.

Course overview:

1/ Creating and editing documents.

2/ File operations (save, close open, etc).

3/ Viewing modes.

4/ Moving around your document.

5/ Selecting text.

6/ Formatting text.

7/ Copy, cut and paste.

8/ Spell check.

9/ Find and replace.

10/ Page setup, e.g.

Changing margins.

11/ Print preview and printing.

12/ Using Word help.

Is there anything I need to do before attending?

* You should be able to use a mouse and have basic keyboard if not, you may wish to attend the Computing for Beginners course.

* You do not need to be able to touch-type.
