An introduction to the University and the University to you! By the end of the morning, you will understand the structure of Campus Services (CS) and Academic Services (AS) and where you fit in to the big picture.

Who Should Attend All new employees MUST attend the induction within their first eight weeks of employment.

Course Style Informal.

A selection of short talks by representatives from areas of particular interest to new starters.

Supported by handouts and visual aids.

Questions and queries are welcomed throughout the sessions.

Aims and Outcomes:

Course Aims: -Understand how you fit into CS/AS and how CS/AS fits in with the rest of the University.

-Explain the Security provision at the University and your role within it.

-Make you aware of the benefits of the University pension scheme.

-See the University campus - know how big it is.

-Understand the importance of Health & Safety and your role.

-Discuss Equality Diversity and the needs of International Students.

-Explain the University position with Environmental and Sustainability and your role.

-Understand the importance of Training & Development and the opportunities that are available to you.
