Introduction to Chemical Awareness (CAMPUS SERVICES)
| Description | To increase your awareness and explore your understanding of hazardous substances and safe working practices Course Overview: Informal and highly participative with active discussions.
Who is it for? All staff that come into contact with hazardous substances and work with chemicals.
Aims and Outcomes: Course Aims: -Define COSHH. -The importance of labeling. -Safety of products. -COSHH assessments and discussion regarding risk assessments, location and content of. -Product use. -Protective clothing. -The importance of training. Course Outcomes: -Define what COSHH stand for. -Give examples of hazardous substances and state how they can be identified. -Understand what a COSHH assessment and Data Sheet is. -State that the use of hazardous substances should be minimized and subjected to risk assessment.
