Level 3 Award in Supervising Health & Safety

Description

To provide understanding of the main concepts of health and safety, to promote health and safety, clarify roles and responsibilities and to provide an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to Supervisors and Managers.

Aims and Outcomes:

-Concept of Health and Safety.

-Accidents in the workplace.

-Ill health in the workplace .

-Legal provision (UK only).

-The Management of Health and Safety.

-Supervising Health and Safety.

-Understand the need for a management approach and system for health and safety.

-Understand the range of persons exposed to health and safety, from work activities, and the need for different and appropriate strategies for each group.

Informal and highly participative with active discussion, exchange of ideas, exercises and group work.

At the end of the 3 days delegates will be asked to answer a multi-choice question paper, under examination conditions, to meet the requirements of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Delegates must attend all three days.
