Physical Intervention Level 2 Award
| Description | This is a nationally recognised Level 2 vocationally specific qualification that covers the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to undertake appropriate and effective disengagement and physical Intervention techniques to an intermediate standard. The course focuses on practical and realistic technique application and scenario based learning. THIS SESSION IS BOOKABLE BY CORPORATE SERVICES SECURITY STAFF ONLY Aims and Outcomes: Areas covered within this course include. - Law and Risks of Physical Intervention for People Performing Security Functions - Understand the law relating to disengagement and physical intervention - Understand the risk factors associated with physical intervention and what can increase chances that physical intervention will be necessary. - Disengagement and Non-restrictive Methods of Physical Intervention - Understand the key principles of disengagement and physical intervention as part of an overall strategy for managing challenging behaviour - Use of disengagement and non-restrictive methods of control.
