Health & Safety: Asbestos Awareness
| Description | The course follows HSE guidance on instruction in asbestos hazards within the workplace. Asbestos is described from its mineral origins to its industrial/workplace uses, the potential health effects, where it is present and the legislation to control it. The information is targeted on each course session at the specific workplace areas used by the participants.
Who is it for? Building and Estates Services staff who may work with or come into contact with asbestos containing materieals during their normal work activities. All other University staff who work in buildings containing asbestos materieal.
