See Andrei perfom his tricks on the Great Hall Piazza on the 31st October
University of Exeter Bike Fair
The University is proud to welcome Andrei Burton, the UK's premier Mountain Bike Trials Athlete to the Great Hall Piazza, on Monday 31st October between 11.30am and 2.00pm.
Staff and students will get the chance to watch him perform the impressive BMX freestyle jumps which have wowed audiences across the UK.
There has been a 60% increase in the number of bicycles parked on the Exeter campuses in the last year and it is hoped that events like this can support current cyclists and encourage others to take part.
Students and staff can experience a whole host of different activities including:
- Perusing the local bike store stalls, to see the latest new bicycles;
- Taking the chance to buy low cost cycle lights for their new bicycle by visiting the University’s bike user group (Bike user group (Unicycle)) stall;
- Join the ever growing ‘Bike user group (Unicycle)’ cycling community at the University;
- Collect and discuss cycle maps of Exeter and the local area which will be available at the Unicycle stall;
- Have a free bicycle tune up by Bikeshed Dr. Bike;
- Find out about locally organised bike rides, from short leisurely rides to challenging off road adventures;
- Find out about student bike discounts offered by bike stores;
- Find out about more about Cyclescheme, a scheme through which staff can buy a bike and accessories (safety and security) through their salary tax-free.
