An affordable way to travel to work.
Discounted bus travel for staff
The University is pleased to announce that from August 2012 staff will be able to benefit from one third off single and return bus tickets for journeys to and from the University on the D and H bus services.
Staff simply need to show their staff ID card when buying their ticket on the bus to benefit from this discount.
Geoff Pringle, Director of Campus Services, said: “The University is very pleased to be able to offer this University subsidised discount which is part of the continuing positive partnership between the University and Stagecoach. This discount enables staff to have an affordable way to travel to work and provides a great alternative to travelling by car.”
The University has a strong commitment towards encouraging the use of public transport and other forms of sustainable transport as outlined in the latest Travel Plan 2010-15.
Michelle Hargreaves, Chief Executive of Stagecoach Southwest, commented: “I am delighted that, in partnership with the University of Exeter, we have been able to launch this scheme for staff using our D and H bus routes to travel to work. The University is one of our key partners in Exeter and we're always looking at ways we can work together to increase access to our buses.’
