Sculpture on the Streatham campus
This steel plate sculpture was commissioned specifically for its location as a frame to the cornfields and meadows of the Higher Hoopern valley. The colours and shapes were to complement the view. Roger Leigh, Partition 8/6 *3.

Sculpture and fine art

The University has almost 1,000 important and diverse artworks worth over £2 million and exhibitions are held on the Streatham Campus regularly. Recent exhibitions have featured work by prominent artists such as Lucian Freud and Bridget Riley.

Fine art collection

Anyone who is interested in fine art is encouraged to visit our exhibition spaces on the Streatham Campus, which regularly display work by local and nationally acclaimed artists.  A series of changing exhibitions takes place throughout the year. Artists often loan items to be displayed for periods at the University - find out about gifts, loans and bequests.

Sculpture walk

Viewing the University’s sculpture collection, which includes works by Barbara Hepworth, is a great way to discover the Streatham Campus grounds while enjoying the sculptures. There are 24 sculptures set both in the open and in University buildings.
