Damaris Anderson-Supple

Appointed Independent Member in August 2023

Damaris has over thirty years senior experience as an executive in Human Resources, Commercial, Marketing and General Management roles in several major global companies and across industries.

Chief People Officer of NewDay since 2013, she is a member of the Executive Committee responsible for transforming the credit card company into a significant UK consumer credit financial services business over the last decade, with 5 million active customers and a focus on leveraging technology to enhance the customer journey.

In her role on the senior leadership team at NewDay, she is the executive responsible for the people management function and, as a member of the management team, in setting the strategy for NewDay.

As Secretary of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee, she is also responsible for supporting the Chair of the Committee in all reward matters and ensuring appropriate governance.

Prior to NewDay, Damaris worked in senior roles in Hill and Knowlton Strategies, Merck, Bristol Myers-Squibb and Sanofi. She has extensive international experience.

She has strong connections to the South-West, having been at school in North Devon and with family living in North Cornwall where she also has a home.
