Nicholas Cheffings

Nicholas is a lawyer and a former Partner of the global law firm, Hogan Lovells, and was its Chair from 2012 to 2018. He now serves as a Consultant to the firm in the capacity of Senior Counsel. He is currently acting as the Interim Head of Legal and Company Secretary of The Crown Estate. Nicholas is deeply committed to diversity, inclusion and equality of opportunity and is the current Chair of PRIME, a charity with over 60 law firm members committed to promoting wider access to the legal sector for school-age students. He is also Chair of Making the Leap, a London-based charity helping socio-economically disadvantaged young people. He is Chair of the British Paralympic Association's Parallel Club; a member of Women in Law London's Advisory Panel; a founding member of the Senior Leaders Forum of the Lord Mayor of London's Power of Diversity initiative; a Committee member of Real Estate Balance, which seeks to address the UK real estate sector's gender imbalance; a trustee of ISLP UK, which provides pro bono legal services outside the UK; and a trustee of The CareTech Charitable Foundation. Nicholas was previously a Committee member of Real Estate Balance, which seeks to address the UK real estate sector's gender imbalance and a trustee of ISLP UK, which provides pro bono legal services outside the UK.
