What is Clearing and how do I apply?

Clearing is just another way to apply to university. There are various reasons why you might go through Clearing - you might be applying after the UCAS deadline, or if you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers, or if you’ve declined your firm place. You might even be thinking of changing your mind about what or where you want to study.

If you already have an offer from us

If you’re an existing Exeter offer-holder, you should check your status in UCAS Hub.

Decisions will be sent to UCAS as we start to receive results throughout June and July. For applicants taking A-Levels, please check your UCAS Hub from 08:00 on Thursday 13 August.

If you already have an offer from us but want to change course, please do not apply through Clearing. Instead please contact our Admissions team at: ug-ad@exeter.ac.uk (putting 'Request to change course' in the email subject).

How far is the University of Exeter from London?

Exeter is in the South West of England. It is the capital of Devon and is located on the River Exe. Exeter is approximately 170 miles from London and is connected via a direct 2 hour train from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids.

Our Penryn Campus is located in Cornwall. Cornwall is approximately 250 miles from London and is accessible via direct trains from stations including London Paddington.

Does the University of Exeter offer scholarships for students from Turkiye?

Yes. To help you pursue your studies with us, we are offering scholarships to international students from Turkiye enrolling on an eligible Undergraduate programme in September 2026.

This scholarship will be allocated automatically to eligible applicants for entry in the 2026/27 academic year. A separate application is not required.
