Awards, achievements and recognitions
Over the past decade, the University of Exeter has become the largest University provider of Degree Apprenticeships in England, with the University and our students achieving a great number of accomplishments.
Since launching ten years ago, Degree Apprenticeships at the University of Exeter have moved from an ambitious pilot to a flagship model of inclusion, impact-driven higher education and the results speak for themselves.
Over the years, the University has achieved great outcomes, winning awards from ATA, the British Academy of Management and QS, with our apprentices being named in Rising Star awards, the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards and National Apprenticeship Awards to name but a few examples.
In 2024/25, Exeter’s Degree level apprenticeships achieved;
- 84% on-time achievement rate
- 97% pass rate
- 83% retention
This is significantly higher than the national Degree Apprenticeship achievement rate of 68.8%.
In our management and leadership programmes, the standard is exceptionally high. The following cohorts achieved high percentages of students graduating with distinctions.
- 74% of Advanced Clinical Practitioners

These outcomes reflect not just rigorous academic standards, but a learning model intentionally designed to support every apprentice from their starting point whatever their background or prior experience.
