This workshop provides PGR students with an overview of the research ethics application and discusses integral parts as well as common pitfalls.

- What are research ethics, who needs to apply for ethical approval, and when? · Accessing existing (secondary) data: o Criteria for when you do not need to apply · Collecting primary data: o Applications covered by the business school § Standard primary data collection guidance o Applications outside the scope of the business school (e.g. health etc.) · If someone else is collecting primary data: o Data collection that is approved and conducted at another university. o Data sharing agreements with partners.
