Abstract
I will describe some beautiful limiting theorems on continued fractions. I will then introduce a method of interpreting these theorems using dynamical systems on homogeneous spaces. This interpretation allows us to provide a new perspective on this classical question, and to prove new results.
Thank you for the kind offer of a hotel room. It would be nice actually, to have a room booked for the night of the talk (i.e. 18th). I plan to drive down from Bristol with my wife and 5 year old daughter, so I would greatly appreciate it if the hotel has parking and if the room is big enough for the three of us. Of course, I will be happy to pay the excess charges for my family. Thank you again and looking forward.
