NTAG Seminar: Generalised Kummer surfaces in positive characteristic

One of the most well-known examples of K3 surfaces are Kummer surfaces, which are obtained by resolving the singularities of the quotient of an abelian surface by its involution. In 1987, Katsura generalised this notion of Kummer surface by proving that, under certain conditions, the quotients of abelian surfaces by other group actions are also K3 surfaces. In this talk, I will explain how to construct explicit models of these generalised Kummer surfaces and describe their geometry. I will also sketch the proof of how one can find a complete classification of all possible generalised Kummer surfaces.
