- Hear from academic and practitioners (Forestry Commission, Met Office, UKHSA and more!) about the current state of the art in operational use of AI and digital tools to understand and manage UK wildfires
- Look at some emerging AI methods of possible benefits, including:
- Novel "geospatial foundation model" approaches to improve monitoring of wildfires using satellite imagery.
- Early warning systems using machine learning and sensor networks (case study of flooding with possible extension to wildfires).
- Digital twins and other decision support tools.
- Smart agents and chatbots for access to environmental data.
- Others TBC
- Discuss possible application areas and opportunities for co-designing development going forward.
