Event details
Drawing upon his work as a consultant for computer game developers and international museums, as well as his work as an author in the Star Wars franchise, Dr Chris Kempshall will pass on invaluable insights, suggestions, and recommendations to staff and students regarding how best to work with external and international partners in finding new avenues for cooperative work, research, and impact. He will explore ways of communicating research to different organisations and audiences and producing outputs that channel the nature of historical research. This session will feature discussions on how best to interact with the media, how to communicate 'history' to organisations that don't understand the work of historians, and the importance of 'historical feeling' as narrative tool.
