Event details
The Friends of Palestine Society is pleased to invite students, staff, and members of the wider community to a discussion event entitled “From Washington to Gaza: The Impact of Trump’s Actions.”
This event will explore the influence of United States policy toward Palestine and the broader Middle East, with particular attention to the political consequences of decisions made during the Trump administration and their continuing impact on Gaza and the Palestinian people. The discussion will examine how shifts in U.S. foreign policy have shaped diplomatic relations, humanitarian conditions, international responses, and prospects for peace and justice in the region.
Bringing together academic expertise and lived perspectives, the event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the connections between global political decision-making and local realities on the ground. Participants will be encouraged to engage with contemporary debates surrounding international law, human rights, displacement, and the future of Palestine.
The session will include presentations from invited speakers followed by discussion and audience questions.
