As part of the Exeter Q-Step Centre Research Seminar on Education Dr George Leckie for the University of Bristol will talk about value-added school effects (used in many school rankings) and how to estimate them best. George is a statistician and economist from the Centre for Multilevel Modelling, and he's got a lot of experience with working with the National Pupil Database and is a co-chair of the NPD user group.
