Entry requirements

The information below will allow you to check qualifications from your country or territory to see if they may be accepted for entry to the University of Exeter, and the equivalent grades required. Our course pages contain typical entry requirements that are commonly held by UK applicants. You can find out details on our English language requirements here.

Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Bahrain

Students studying the Tawhiji (or Thanawiyah) must have completed an appropriate foundation to be considered for entry, such as one of our International Study Centre courses or equivalent.

Students studying A-Levels or International Baccalaureat will be considered for direct entry if they meet the grade requirements of their chosen undergraduate programme.

We accept the BIBF Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance Foundation for direct entry to Year 1 for various Business programmes, grades as follows:

  • Accounting - 80% with no module less than 70%
  • Economics - Business Economics only. 80% with no module less than 70%
  • Management (Streatham) - 80% with no module less than 70%
  • Management (Penryn) - 75% with no module less than 70%

For entry onto postgraduate research programmes (including PhD) you will need to hold a relevant Masters degree, supported by a strong research proposal.
