Annual Orme Lecture - Cities of Stangers: Medieval Cities and their Diversity

Miri Rubin (Queen Mary, University of London)

This year's Nicholas Orme Lecture in Medieval Studies will be given by Prof. Miri Rubin. Miri Rubin is a medieval scholar of wide-ranging interests and one of the most prominent historians in Britain today. The focus of much of her work has been later medieval religious culture, but recently she has given particular thought to urban populations and urban social dynamics - which will be the topic of this lecture. We are grateful for the generous support of Nicholas Orme for this event.
