The Think-Tank Seminar Series

Every year the Mood Disorders Centre presents the Think-Tank seminar series, inviting external speakers from around the world to present on a variety of topics relating to mood and mental health.

The Think-Tank is free of charge and anyone is invited to join us, no registration is required.

The Think-Tanks take place in the Sir Henry Wellcome Building for Mood Disorders Research on the University's Streatham Campus. The convenors of the Think-Tank seminar series are Dr Silvana Mareva and Katie Stewart.

  • Isabelle Fournel - Assessment of the Implementation and Effectiveness of Low-Intensity Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Common Mental Health Disorders Within the Healthcare System in Quebec (Canada)

    Isabelle is a fourth-year PhD student in psychology, research and intervention at Université Laval. She has worked in several research labs, and her areas of expertise focus primarily on anxiety disorders, depression and trauma. Isabelle worked for three years as a practitioner with women who had experienced sexual assault with an online treatment programme. She has contributed to the adaptation of this online treatment for men and people who have experienced any type of trauma. She is a teaching assistant for a course on common mental health disorders. She has been practising psychotherapy in private practice as a PhD student in psychology for the past year under supervision. Her thesis focuses on the implementation, effectiveness and acceptability of low-intensity cognitive-behavioural therapy (LI-CBT) within a step-care model recently introduced in Quebec. The programme is modelled on the NHS Talking Therapies initiative. She analyses the initial data from the programme in a test
