Work with us

Following recent major strategic investment, the University of Exeter is substantially expanding its neuroscience research capacity.  Building on the success of our expansion in 2022 and the appointment of excellent neuroscience academics, the department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences has secured additional investment to continue this growth and expand our neuroscience research capacity further.  We now have a further four opportunities for talented and passionate academics to undertake research aimed at understanding the underlying mechanisms of brain disease and translating this to improve patient treatment and care.

World-leaders in neuroscience, our research is driven by clinically important questions. Our progressive research and outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate education is underpinned by our current expertise in neurogenomics, neurophysiology, neuroendocrinology, and clinical and cognitive neuroscience, as well as cutting-edge innovation in technology.

Our expansion offers permanent academic opportunities at Lecturer and Senior Lecturer as part of the Medical School within our new Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. This is an exciting time to join the University of Exeter, and you will be an integral part of the development and shaping of the future of neuroscience research and education at Exeter. We welcome applicants from all areas of neuroscience and are particularly keen to hear from individuals and teams working in areas that complement and strengthen our existing expertise. If you are looking to be part of a dynamic and ambitious research environment, the University of Exeter can offer you all this, with a backdrop of Devon and Cornwall’s outstanding beauty.

We are looking for people who are as passionate about their future as we are about ours.  If you are excited by the opportunity to apply your expertise in novel approaches to investigate neurological and psychiatric disease and teach on our leading research-inspired undergraduate and postgraduate programmes we would love to hear from you.
