Head of Educator Development
Educator Development

I am the Head of Educator Development at the University of Exeter. During my 15-year career in Higher Education I have held roles as an academic, researcher and researcher developer. In my current role I provide organisational and strategic support to the Education Leadership Team at the University of Exeter in realising the goals of our Education Strategy, and supporting the Educator Development team in providing training, development and enhancement activities including Academic Personal Tutoring Doctoral Supervision, Inclusive Practice, Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LTHE)  programme, ASPIRE Professional Recognition Pathway (ASPIRE PRP) and the Transformative Education Framework. I am the Director of the EduExe Framework (accredited by AdvanceHE) which encompasses the ASPIRE PRP, LTHE and Academic Professional Programme (APP).

From 2015-2022 I led the Researcher Development Programme for PGRs at the University of Exeter, taking a holistic and inclusive approach to Researcher Development, designing training programmes and learning inventions that support the researcher as a person. In 2022 I was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in recognition of my excellent and sector leading support for PGRs.
