Health and Safety: Advanced LSO Refresher Training
| Description | Theme: Professional Development Category: Health, Safety, Fire and Environment Course overview: This training is delivered by the University's RPA for advanced or experienced operators of laser equipment.
Learning outcomes: Delegates will receive information on:. - Management controls for laser use. - The importance of implementing and maintaining standards. - An update on Legislation and how this is being interpreted by the HSE. - Acceptable justifications for open beam work. - The technical issues and challenges to safe use of lasers.
Who should attend this course: TS&O, Academics, those with responsibilities for the laser management or training.
Pre-work Requisites: All attendees must have attended a Laser Safety Officer course prior to attending this session.
