People Management: Decision Making and Delegation

Course overview: Effective managers know that success is not about making every decision themselves. It is about making the right decisions and empowering others to take ownership. Participants will explore proven approaches to decision making, including how to balance speed with quality, manage risk and uncertainty, avoid common decision-making biases, and make confident choices under pressure. The session also addresses one of the most challenging leadership skills: delegation. Managers will learn how to identify what to delegate, select the right people, set clear expectations, and maintain accountability without micromanaging.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course you will be able to:. - Apply structured decision-making approaches in complex situations. - Recognise and mitigate common decision-making biases. - Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and avoiding micromanagement.
Audience: Managers of people who want to strengthen their effectiveness and be more confident in day to day management practices.
