People Management: Developing Individuals and Teams

Course overview: *Please note that this is a two-part course: it is delivered across two, 3 hour sessions, on different days - please carefully check the booking details on Trent before signing up.* Unlock the potential of your people by building the skills, culture, and frameworks that drive individual and team performance. This practical session explores how managers can identify development needs through effective Training Needs Analysis, hold meaningful career and development conversations, and apply coaching techniques to support growth and engagement. Participants will learn how to create a positive learning culture, set clear and motivating goals, and use objectives to align operational team performance with organisational priorities. The session also examines how to empower individuals through greater autonomy while maintaining accountability.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course you will be able to:. - Conduct meaningful development and career conversations. - Apply coaching techniques to support individual growth and engagement. - Create a learning culture that aligns team development with organisational objectives.
Audience: Managers of people who want to strengthen their effectiveness and be more confident in day to day management practices.
