About this course:

This briefing session guides attendees to approach budgeting as an integrated part of the proposal development, rather than an add on task.

It will provide links and prompts for where to go for information and who to talk to.

It will also outline the Approvals process needed for all research applications to be submitted.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand how to begin developing a research application budget.

- Know who the key contacts are and where the guidance is within the University to support developing a research application budget.

- Recognise common budgeting pitfalls.

- Understand that an Approval process is needed for all research applications.

The course is specifically designed Research active staff and would be particularly useful to Early Career Researchers, or new starters at the University, preparing a research application.
