The make this a link section option on the 'add section' page in T4 is for when you would like a page which is already in existence either on the university website or externally to show in your navigation
For your link section to work correctly you will need to populate the fields on the 'details' tab:
Link Type is where you determine whether the page you are linking to is internal (a T4 'section') or external – select the relevant radio button
For an internal link, click on 'select' next to Link Section. This will open a pop up window displaying the Site Structure. Navigate to the page you want to link to
Link URL is for external web pages - paste the relevant URL into the box
