Our flagship fair, the Careers and Placement Fair, sponsored by Hazlewoods, provides an excellent opportunity to boost your profile and meet with our high calibre students. It typically attracts over 70+ exhibitors and in the region of 2,500-3,500 students, making it the largest careers fair we deliver.
We welcome a range of companies, representing a variety of sectors. Exhibitors attend to promote graduate vacancies, internships, placements and postgraduate courses.

The event is marketed to University of Exeter students from all years and disciplines, including those based at our Penryn campus in Cornwall and all PGT students. As we encourage early consideration of career pathways, you can expect those in the first year through to their final year to attend. Our graduates are also welcome.
Please note: This event is not suitable for teaching agencies seeking to engage with our PGCE students or those looking to recruit nursing students, volunteering opportunities or unpaid/chargeable internships to exhibit. Companies offering paid-for services, with the exception of postgraduate courses, are also not permitted.

Exhibitor rates
Standard rate: £565 + VAT
(applies to most companies unless a special rate is listed below)
Agency rate: £680 + VAT
(for all recruitment and job portals, specialising in graduate recruitment only)
Charity and Local SME rate: £225 + VAT
(for registered charities recruiting to their own organisation for paid roles, professional bodies, and SMEs based in Cornwall, Devon, or Somerset with fewer than 250 staff)
Please note
- Due to high demand, we recommend submitting your booking form promptly.
- Spaces for recruitment agencies and job portals (specialising in graduate recruitment only) are capped at three.
- Discounted rate places are limited and allocated at our discretion.
What’s included
- Stand space: 2m (h) × 2.5m (w) × 1.5m (d)
- One table and two chairs
- One electrical point
- Wifi access (note: bring a dongle if your laptop is encrypted)
- Tea, coffee, water, and biscuits throughout the day
- Standard entry in the fair booklet
Additional Charges
- One parking space (extremely limited and subject to availability)
- Lunch vouchers (maximum of 4 per organisation)
Payment information
- Invoices will be issued after the event.
- Please ensure invoicing details are accurate and complete; errors may incur a £100 processing fee.
- Credit card payments are not accepted.
The fair will take place in The Great Hall and Sanctuary, University of Exeter, Stocker Road, Exeter, Devon EX4 4PY.
The event will be open to students from 11:30 to 15:30. However, 30 minutes will be run as an accessible period, where we aim to limit the number of students in the venue to those will benefit most from a less busy, calmer space.
Access to the building is from 08:30 to 17:00. Student helpers will be available throughout these times to assist.
Cancellation must be received in writing by emailing employer-events@exeter.ac.uk by Tuesday 8 September 2026. Cancellations received after this date will result in the full cost being incurred.
Failure to attend the fair, regardless of reason, will result in the full charge being levied.
