Faculty HASS
In the faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences all our our courses run at a programme specific level, and all international students on these programmes are automatically enrolled in sessions. This provision is summarised below.
If you cannot identify a course or module specific to your programme, please do browse our general academic English courses and our communicative and cultural English courses for a range of opportunities to develop and improve your English. You may also like to consider our writing cafes and one-to-one tutorials. If you are not sure which course would be most suitable or you, please email insessional@exeter.ac.uk.

Academic English for Postgraduates in Creativity and Theatre Practice (INT9012)
This is a series of 3 workshops for postgraduate students on the following programmes:
- MA Creative Industries
- MA Theatre Practice
International students on these programmes should automatically be added to the module and will see the schedule in their university timetable.
Timetable details:
Thursdays 14.00-16.00 in Thornlea SR1.
Dates: 7th May, 21st May and 4th June
Group tutorials and one-to-one tutorials will be available over the summer. Please speak to the module lead for more details.

Academic English for Postgraduates in Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies (INT9006)
2 workshops for postgraduate students in Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies are available in term 3.

Academic English for International Film Business (INT9007)
One-to-one tutorials for students of International Film Business are available in term 3. You will be able to book these tutorials via this link
Academic English for LLM (INT9002)

There is no subject specific provision available for students of Politics, IR and SPA in term. However, there are a range of options available on our Reading and Writing timetable and our Listening and Speaking timetable.

In term 3 students from IAIS will be able to participate in our general reading and writing classes and our listening and speaking provision.

Academic English for School of Education (INT9001)
This a series of 4 workshops for School of Education students in term 2. The sessions will develop language and study skills techniques and knowledge to help prepare students for dissertation writing.
International students on these programmes should automatically be added to the module and will see the schedule in their university timetable. If you are not on one of these programmes but are interested in attending, email the Insessional team with your request insessional@exeter.ac.uk
There are two parallel groups covering the same material. You will be enrolled in one group. There will also be other learning opportunities during the term - speak to the tutor for more information.
