Use these 20-minute appointments to speak with an English language expert about how you can improve specific aspects of your English.

One-to-one assignment tutorials

Bring a piece of writing to one of these 50-minute appointments, and get individualised feedback on grammar, vocabulary, flow and clarity of ideas, use of sources, organisation, structure, criticality.

One-to-one tutorials are available throughout the year. Subject-specific tutorials are available for students in some subject areas and more information on these can be found on our faculty pages - if you have any questions, please email insessional@exeter.ac.uk.

Drop-ins

These are the most informal of our opportunities to ask for guidance. Our tutors Ayca Durrant and Martin Darling are available at these times and in these locations:

La Touche, Building ONE, Streatham campus: Tuesdays 10.30-12.00 and Fridays 10.00-11.30

Cross-Keys, St Luke's campus: Thursday 14.00-16.00

Writing cafes

Writing cafes start in week 6. The schedule will appear in week 4. These sessions are organised to facilitate quiet writing. It is a space to write, but one in which you can also benefit from the presence of an EAP expert.
