BRP Card Collection

If you are coming to the UK for more than 6 months, your visa will initially be granted on an Entry Clearance vignette (sticker) in your passport. When you arrive in the UK, you will then have 10 days to collect your BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) card. Your BRP card is your new visa and replaces the vignette in your passport.

We strongly advise you chose to have your BRP card delivered to the University.

This ensures we can safely store your BRP card ready for collection when you complete International Student Clearance. You can choose to do this by entering the 'Alternative collection location' (ACL) code for your campus. The delivery address should then automatically populate. Combined CAS students should always enter the ACL code for Exeter.

Exeter based courses (Streatham and St Luke's campuses):

Enter the Alternative Collection location (ACL) code: 2HE342

Check the following address is populated:

University of Exeter Streatham campus
Immigration Compliance Unit
Innovation Centre Reception
Rennes Drive

Cornwall based courses (Penryn and Truro campuses):

Enter the Alternative Collection location (ACL) code: 2HE347

If your BRP card expires on 31/Dec/2024, this is not an error. The BRP card system is ending in December 2024 as UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) move to an online system from 01 January 2025. You will be contacted later in 2024 with further information. You do not need to do anything in the meantime and your immigration status will not be affected.

From 01 January 2025, you’ll be able to prove your immigration status online, without a BRP card.

NOTE: Your actual visa expiry date is listed on your decision email. You should check the date listed there carefully and follow instructions on this page if you think there's an error.
