Proficiency in Data Science
Data science is a fast-moving field and skills in this area are highly sought after by employers. The skills you will gain through the Proficiency in Data Science are directly applicable to many job roles. The pathway provides you with the opportunity to learn about the core competencies and application of data science and how it is transforming business and society.
This pathway is aimed at students from any discipline* who wish to develop skills in Data Science. A specialised pathway with Proficiency in Social Data Science is also available.
If you pass 60 credits of modules taken from approved lists, you may have the words ‘with Proficiency in Data Science’ added to your degree title when you graduate.
*Students on Data Science, Computer Science, Maths, and Business Analytics programmes are not eligible for the pathway as these programmes already integrate modules in Data Science.
