Women in Mining UK Scholarship 2022
About the award
Women in Mining UK and the CSM Trust are delighted to be offering two scholarships for exceptional female students on a mining-related course, enrolling in 2022.
Women in Mining UK is offering a £9,000 award for a UK student and the CSM Trust is offering a £6,000 award (amount to be confirmed) open to all students.
The scholarships will be awarded at the panel’s discretion to the applicants considered most deserving of the award. The successful candidates will be expected to take part in activities to promote women in mining.
The scholarships can only be awarded to female students who have an offer of a place to study at Camborne School of Mines (see Mining or Geology) at the University of Exeter; a full list of programmes can be seen below.

MSc Surveying and Land/Environmental Management
MSc Mining Engineering
MSc Mining Environmental Management
MSc Minerals Processing
MSc Mining Geology
MSc Exploration Geology
MSc Geotechnical Engineering
How to apply
Applicants are asked to provide a 500 word statement outlining how this scholarship would help them pursue their studies and career, and encourage other female students into the mining sector. In the event of statements of similar quality, preference may be given to applications for courses with the lowest proportion of female applicants.
