The University of Exeter is committed to ensuring that knowledge of Medical Mycology is disseminated as widely possible. Therefore, we are pleased to offer scholarships for candidates from low and middle income countries applying to study the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) Medical Mycology, which is Stage 1 of the MSc Medical Mycology Online programme, starting in January 2024 or September 2024. 

These scholarships will be awarded as a tuition fee discount of £1,050 for each module of the PGCert, offering a total saving of £4,200 on the cost of Stage 1. 

Entry requirements

These awards are available to applicants who:

1. are a citizen/passport holder of a Low or Middle Income Country as listed here; and
2. already hold an offer to commence study on the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) Medical Mycology Online programme in January 2024 or September 2024. 

And will be received by those who go on to:

• meet the conditions of that offer as set out in their offer letter; and
• enrol on that programme in January 2024 or September 2024.

How to apply

This award will be allocated automatically to eligible applicants applying for the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) Medical Mycology Online programme for January 2024 or September 2024 entry. A separate application is not required.

Terms and Conditions

You cannot normally receive more than one scholarship from the University of Exeter; if you are eligible for multiple scholarships you will be awarded whichever scholarship has the higher value. However, this scholarship may be awarded together with an Alumni or 'Class of' Progression Scholarship for the relevant academic year. 

These scholarships are intended for self-funding students and your scholarship offer may be invalidated if you are in receipt of external funding. It is your responsibility to inform our Admissions team if you are in receipt of any external funding prior to enrolment.  

If you defer a 2024/25 offer or change fee status or programme then your scholarship offer will be invalidated.

This scholarship will be awarded as a reduction in tuition fees of £1,050 per (Stage 1) PGCert Medical Mycology module; it cannot be paid as cash or attributed to other charges. It is not recurring for subsequent stages of study.
